I wanted this mix to reflect the fact that good music is a constant. I have much respect for all the foundation music from the last 30 years. But I think it’s important that it continues to evolve. I have always graduated to the underground and this selection reflects that. If I were to give it to label it would simply be underground soul. I met Junior of Record Breakin', before the label started, as a DJ. So I knew that the output would be consistent.
